Dr. Jaclyn Shaffer is a board certified Emergency Medicine Physician who recently moved to New Mexico from Washington state. Originally from California, Dr. Shaffer received her medical degree from The University of Auckland in Auckland, New Zealand, and completed her Emergency Medicine Residency at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA.  

Dr. Shaffer has a variety of clinical interests, and has served as supervisor and mentor to medical students in various clinical settings. Prior to attending medical school, Jackie received a BS in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from The University of San Diego, and has also worked as a lab technician, research associate, and medical aid worker, both in the US and abroad. In her free time, she enjoys world travel, cycling, soccer, skiing, and competing in marathons and triathlons.
